You’re Such a Goof Ball

So a family tradition that we have every Christmas/New Years is to make a batch of what we call Goof Balls. Now, many people will know these as buckeyes but since the tradition goes so far back in our family we have called it something a little different. With the rich, chocolate outside and the crunchy, peanut butter inside, this sweet treat is hard to beat.

The recipe calls for:
-2 cups crushed graham cracker
-2 cups peanut butter (May need more depending on consistency)
-3 cups powdered sugar

Mix those ingredient together and then roll it into little balls. Should make about 35 or more. Stick it onto cooking sheets and put in the fridge for about 30-60 mins. Or until hard.

The chocolate calls for
-one 12 oz package of semi-sweet chocolate chips
-1/2 bar of paraffin wax (I used the Gulf Wax brand)

Then use a double boiler and melt the two together.
I used a plastic fork and broke the two middle tines off to dip the peanut butter ball into the chocolate.


Then just dip them in chocolate and set on cooling rack with some wax paper underneath for a quick cleaning.

Let cool and enjoy!
